The task of a RJ is to provide entertainment to the listeners through the music they play or by conveying messages in an attractive and sophisticated way. As you would know RJ is basically that person who plays requests from listeners. A radio personality who hosts a radio show is also known as a radio host, and Radio Jockey.
If a person is not creative and innovative enough, then there are possibilities for a person by not becoming a radio jockey. The career of radio jockey requires lot of innovation, creative bent of mind, liveliness and so on.
My journey towards “Radio Jockey”
“It all started when I saw vacancy announcement. I became all hopeless when I didn’t get any response after dropping my CV even for a month or so. But, out of blue, I got a call from Radio Nation saying that I have been short listed and there will be next round of interview session. You can’t guess how happy I was!
I reached to the office one hour earlier. After some minutes room was occupied. We were fifteen in total. Many had training certificates in their hand but me, sitting in one corner of the room doubting myself. But, I must say, I was pretty confident during the interview. And after two weeks, I was informed that I have been selected!
To be RJ was never planned. Life gave me an opportunity and I grabbed it. I had never taken any kind of trainings. I feel stupid that I doubted on myself. On that very day, I realized that with positive confidence, one can conquer the world. Everything begins with small step. One should learn to grab the opportunity.
